AMH Blood Test An AMH blood test measures the level of Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) in your blood. What AMH tells us • AMH is produced by the small follicles in the ovaries • It gives an indication of your ovarian reserve (the number of eggs remaining) • It helps assess fertility potential and guides treatment planning Why it’s important in fertility assessment • Helps estimate how your ovaries may respond to fertility treatment • Can indicate reduced or high ovarian reserve • Useful for fertility planning, even if you’re not trying to conceive yet Key benefits • Simple blood test • Can be done on any day of your cycle • Provides valuable insight alongside scans and other hormone tests Female Pelvic Ultrasound Scan We perform an ultrasound scan of your womb to check your ovaries and uterus to ensure that there are no cysts, fibroids or polyps that could impact your chance of conceiving, as well as evaluate your antral follicle count to assess your ovarian reserve. An ultrasound scan is painless and gives us accurate and highly detailed information about your reproductive health. The ideal time to have an ultrasound scan is when you are not actively bleeding; this ensures that our sonographers have visualisation of the uterine cavity. Female Antral Follicle Count We conduct an antral follicle count via a transvaginal ultrasound early in the menstrual cycle. This antral follicle count assesses your ovarian reserve and predicts your response to fertility treatments. **please note we will require an accurate BMI reading for you upon booking** Next steps after you receive the results?
